We are a 501(3)(c) non profit sanctuary (EIN: 32-0664565). We specialize in cats that are deemed difficult or impossible to adopt, those with special needs, chronic health issues, or ones that have behavioral issues. We take in the cats (and other small animals) no one else wants and give them a forever home where they are safe and loved. We also rescue sick or orphaned kittens and get them adopted, as well as conduct TNR (trap neuter return) in Fulton County, Ohio.

Our Mission

Mission Statement: Our mission consists of three areas:

  1. Provide long-term care to cats and other animals who are deemed difficult or impossible to adopt due to special needs, behavioral issues, chronic health issues, or any other reasons that limit available options for safe and sustained care of the animal.

  2. Conduct and promote TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) to reduce the suffering of homeless cats and decrease the number of stray cats in the Fulton County area.

  3. Assist and educate community members wishing to rescue orphan and sick kittens in need.

A Note from Our President

Hi! My name is Jennifer Pershing, and I’m the Founder and President of Compassionate Care Sanctuary. I have worked in rescue for five years but have been caring for cats since I was 4 years old. I was the Assistant Director and then Co-Director of our local Humane Society, before starting Compassionate Care Sanctuary and Rescue. I have rescued and fostered hundreds of neonatal kittens and adult cats.

Our organization is run 100% by volunteers. We are a small group of animals lovers trying to help as many cats and other small animals as possible. We do  our best to respond to all messages and phone calls but please be patient as it can take us time to get to everyone.

Thank you for stopping by our site. If you are looking for help with a stray cat or kitten, message us via email or Facebook. We can only take a few cats or kittens at a time (and usually only emergency cases), but we can try to answer questions and provide instructions on how to feed and care for the kitty.
